The Critter Co
Artist/Owner Rachel Dyck
Charming and whimsical watercolour critters and nature. The Critter Co brings together two loves of art and nature. Originally being inspired by Victorian storybooks like Peter Rabbit, The Critter Co has kept that feeling of nostalgia and modernized it. Constantly noticing nature, animals, and all the little details means there is no shortage of inspiring scenes to create.
The Critter Co (Formerly know as Blossom & SweetPea Critter Co) has been a passion project since 2014 and I hope to be able to continue painting what I love for many years to come.
Rachel Dyck graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Art from Trinity Western University in 2012. She started her greeting card business in 2014. In 2016 she decided to go back to school for Graphic design and attended Sir Sandford Fleming College.
I want to acknowledge that I live and work on the treaty and traditional territory of the Mississauga Anishinaabeg adjacent to Haudenosaunee Territory and in the territory covered by the Williams Treaty. I want to offer my gratitude to the First People's for their care for, and teachings about the earth that I find so much enjoyment in. As a settler, I'm grateful for the opportunity to live and work here and I thank all the generations of people who have taken care of this land - for thousands of years.
